Why Hydrogen?
Hydrogen is, by its nature, already net zero; the by-product of hydrogen fuel is water. So it’s the solution for long-distance transport vehicles such as heavy good vehicles (HGVs) and buses to meet zero emissions targets.
Using UK offshore wind and renewable energy means energy sources are independent, and there is no need to import.
Hydrogen refuelling infrastructure is the last remaining barrier to the rapid decarbonisation of HGVs and buses.
Creating this infrastructure will lead to jobs across the ecosystem including manufacturing, production, storage, supply, delivery and vehicles.
Hydrogen can make the greatest positive impact on climate change.
By working together, we can make the greatest positive impact on climate change and the local economy
